Review and preparation of a development and maintenance plan for a major Irish ISP, running a MySQL cluster as a central part of their broadband network.
MySQL Health Checks
Development of a series of checks and processes for the ongoing maintenance and monitoring of client MySQL databases for an IT consultancy.
Database Import
A project involving the import of a number of Wordpress XML files into one very large MySQL database (1GB). This involved rewriting the Wordpress XML import script to allow for the handling of several hundred thousand Wordpress posts within the same database, and optimizing queries and database structure to maximise performance.
